Fabric Painting Kits:
All the fabric painting kits on this site
are original designs by Jennifer Smart.
They include the fabric painting ranges
which will soon be available in many good
fabric painting classes around Australia
as well as a designer range of Jennifer
Smart fabric painting kits which are only
available here. These special designer fabric
painting kits come signed personally by
Jennifer, and/ come with a fabric label
to show that your kit is a genuine Jennifer
Smart article. Each kit contains brushes
in two sizes, full, comprehensive instructions
(especially helpful to those who have never
tried fabric painting before), and all the
paints and liners you need to complete the
fabric painting project. Where appropriate,
the kit also comes with backing fabric to
match the design, if the kit is for a cushion
or wheat bag cover.
For those experienced fabric painting ladies
out there, who know the joy of expression
in creating the wonder works of art which
each fabric painting
really is, you will find these ideas fresh
and new and different. For those who have
never tried fabric painting before, this
is the time to start, as the kits contain
all you need to begin. So you do not have
to have a cupboard filled with fabric painting
products on hand, nor a knowledge of fine
details of the fabric painting craft, in
order to be able to complete any of these
projects.
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank my (step) mother-in-law, who many
many years ago bought me my first two cushions
which had been beautifully painted with
the gorgeous fabric paints that can only
come from South Africa. They totally inspired
me to try it myself, and I became addicted
to fabric painting anything that even looks
like it could take it! From fabric painting
on shirts to linen, bedding, and table cloths.
The range of design on our web site is only
the tip of the ice berg of what is
to come, but all things take time, and
although the fabric painting ideas in
my head, and the fabric painting I have
done privately are never ending,
they take a lot of work to get them onto
the web site as a finished,
packaged kit. So keep looking for new
fabric painting ideas for the whole
family, and look out for classes with
your local fabric painting specialist.
