CROSS STITCH
All the cross stitch kits
on this site are original designs by Jennifer
Smart. They include the cross stitch ranges
which will soon be available in good craft
stores around Australia, as well as a
designer range of Jennifer Smart cross
stitch kits which are only available here.
These special designer cross stitch kits
come with Aida Cloth which has been hand
painted by Jennifer Smart herself, and
each kit comes with either a "Jennifer
Smart" label (where the cross stitch
is small and/or will be made into a cushion
or a book mark) or alternatively, the
Aida cloth itself has been individually
signed by Jennifer (where the finished
cross stitch will be framed or is larger).
The signature is placed on the Aida cloth
is such a way that the it can be incorporated
into the cross stitch design, without
affecting the look of the finished cross
stitch work. You can also choose whether
you would like the signature to be down
the side of the cross stitch work, or
along the bottom of the cross stitch design.
Either way, you can still add your own
signature to show that you are the one
who made it.
We use only the best materials for all
our cross stitch kits, including DMC
thread, and Zweigart Aida cloth. Our cross
stitches designs range from
bright and cheery colours to calm, soft
colours, with everything in between.
But all the cross stitch designs are fresh,
the colour blends are unique,
and the kits range from the very simple
(in 14 count) to the well advanced.
The DMC threads are carefully chosen and
cut, and the kits are all put together
with
care.
All cross stitch kits include a DMC needle
(vacuum packed to avoid rust), Zweigart
Aida cloth, DMC thread, a full instruction
booklet, and a graph using easy to read
symbols, all in a strong, resealable bag.
Where appropiate, the cross stitch kits
also include tassels, fringing and backing
fabric or felt.
I would also like to take this opportunity
to thank my great cross stitching friends
Marie MacLean and Kirrily Williams for
their hard work in helping me to make
some of the "stitch models"
(they are the beautiful finished cross
stitches that you see on the web site).
I love to create cross stitch patterns,
but each and every cross stitch pattern
has to be tested and photographed for
the web site and for the front cover of
the booklets that we put into the cross
stitch kits, and I don't have the time
to do all the models myself. So thank
you girls!
We want you to enjoy the cross stitch
experience, as well as share it with those
around. There are many young pairs of
hands who would love to learn to cross
stitch and just need someone to teach
them and a design that they can relate
to. All those experienced cross stitchers
out there know the joy of the journey
as well as the final cross stitch product,
and we hope that you enjoy some of the
great cross stitch journeys that we have
to offer.....
