COUNTRY HEARTS
For all you country lovers
out there, this theme is for you. I am
sure that there is a part of everyone
who loves the natural colours and innocence
and freshness of the country. I also just
love hearts and all that they represent,
and the country hearts seem to me to have
the most character and "feel".
This theme will be for all the ideas that
I have that belong in the country. This
is where I get to have fun with all the
wonderful plaids and flannels, hearts,
daisies and even a few farm animals. Cross-stitch
daisies, and rustic quilts & patchworks
in designs covered in hearts and flowers
and all things country.
Most of my family
live and work on the land, and it is a
wonderful place for my boys to spend hours
of fun in the fresh air and sunshine,
and all that space, as far as the eye
can see. My Mum has always had a thing
for chickens, and she seems to only have
chickens with character. My children loved
to check for eggs when they were tiny,
and we have many great photos of the awe
and fascination on their little faces.
So chickens and eggs (in no particular
order) will feature here on a regular
basis, as will Dad's beautiful cows. I
was sixteen when I first made my Dad a
jumper featuring his beloved tractor,
so I am sure that there will be the odd
tractor or other piece of farm equipment
now and then too!
This theme will not
be available until later in the year,
but it will be exciting and ever changing.
It will certainly have something for everyone,
from baby quilts, to cross-stitch cushions,
patchwork wall hangings, lap rugs and
table settings. Gifts for yourself or
for those you love, and even gifts suitable
to make for men!
